Verde Children's Ministry

Verde Kids exists to engage kids to see their lives transformed by Jesus.
Verde Kids takes place during the sermon each Sunday in the gym building for kids age 4 through 5th grade. Children begin the service with their families in the Worship Center at 9:30AM and are dismissed before the sermon to their classrooms.

Sunday Morning
At Verde Kids, we believe children are a gift from the Lord and that parents are the primary disciples of their children. Our desire is to partner with you by faithfully teaching God’s Word and helping children grow in their understanding of the gospel. Each week, we seek to create a welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn the Bible, ask questions, and begin to see how God’s truth applies to their lives.
Our volunteers serve with care, patience, and integrity, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for every child. Our team also prays regularly for the children and families we serve. It is a joy to walk alongside your family as we help lay a strong foundation in God’s Word.

Pre-K – 1st Grade
Children are introduced to key Bible stories through engaging storytelling and hands-on activities that build a foundation for understanding Scripture.
2nd – 3rd Grade
Students begin connecting Bible events within the larger story of Scripture while learning how God’s Word applies to their lives through different activities.
4th – 5th Grade
Older students engage in deeper discussion and Bible study, helping them think critically about Scripture and prepare for the transition into our youth ministries.

At Verde Tots, we believe children are a precious gift from the Lord and a blessing entrusted to the care of their families and the church. (Psalm 127:3) Our desire is to serve your family by providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where your little one is cared for with patience, gentleness, and Christlike love while you worship and grow in God’s Word. We are committed to faithfully stewarding the trust you place in us through careful safety practices, thoughtful care, and clear communication with parents. It is a joy to partner with you as we seek to support the spiritual foundation being laid in your child’s earliest years.

Nursery opens 30 minutes before each service (9am on Sunday mornings). All required paperwork must be completed at your child’s first drop-off at the check-in counter. At check-in, the parent/guardian will receive a pager and a security pick-up label.

Note:

• Baby wipes and diapers are provided. If your child requires anything specific for care, please notify us and provide them.
• Age-appropriate toys are provided.
• Snacks are provided when appropriate. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at check-in.

Wednesday Night - 6-7:30PM (Throughout the School Year - Beginning September 9, 2026)
AWANA is a worldwide, Bible-centered discipleship ministry designed to help children know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. Every week, kids experience an exciting evening filled with high-energy games, engaging Bible teaching, Scripture memory, and small group discussions led by caring leaders. AWANA's goal is to partner with parents and the local church to help children build a lifelong foundation of faith through God's Word. Whether your child is new to church or has grown up in church, AWANA provides a welcoming environment where they can learn, grow, make friends, and have fun.

Kids leave each week having fun while growing in their understanding of God's Word.

Registration
The cost is $35 per child for the club year. Registration includes your child's AWANA handbook and other program materials.
